Global Podiatry Summit 2026

Abstract Submission

The Global Podiatry Summit 2026 is scheduled to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, 12-15 April 2026, at Tivoli Congress Center.

Abstracts must be submitted in English.

All presenters will be required to attend in-person to make their Oral or Poster Presentations.

There will be three types of abstracts. All abstracts must be submitted in English and all presentation at the GPS will also need to be presented in English. Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words or a 30 second video in the case of a Pod Talk submission. Guidance for each of these presentation types is provided below.

  1. Oral presentation of submitted research.
  2. Micro-presentation
  3. Pod talk

The abstract submission should follow the detail below and be no longer than 250 words. This should follow the scientific method in the oral submission category. In the poster category, you need to highlight how your poster reports an innovation in podiatric practice.

Title: This should be clear and concise, eye-catching and punchy.

Background: This section needs to use only the key background literature to provide context for the subsequent work reported.

Aims/purpose: This needs to clearly give the reader an impression of the aim/purpose of the research and what they should expect to learn.

Methods: Key information regarding the methods used/proposed to be used should be highlighted here. Typically, this would include some mention of the participants involved (the sample), equipment and procedures and timescales over which the study took place.

Results: The key results are often presented in this section. Statistical support is preferred

where possible but endless lists of mean values and associated p-values should be avoided. Be selective and make sense that the results selected for presentation fit well with the general story conveyed within the abstract as a whole.

Conclusion: This section is used to wrap up the story, to convey the most important interpretation of the results and to make any important suggestions for relevance to the field or further work that now needs to be carried out. Avoid finishing with ‘further research is now required’ as often this is obvious and superfluous to the overall story.

References: You may include up to 3 references in your submission which should follow the Harvard method of referencing, this will not be included in the word count.

  • The Pod Talk abstract submission category is an opportunity to submit your work, experience or innovation in this category. Submissions do not need to follow the scientific method format as detailed above. Abstracts may be written or submitted via video – please send an MP4 file no longer than 30 seconds to detail your innovation which you feel should be included. In this category there are no limits – please submit anything which you feel is of interest or relevant to the international podiatric community.

Please submit your written abstract for oral presentation, poster presentation or pod talk by clicking the button “submit abstract” above. If you would like to submit a video for a pod talk, please send it to info@cap-partner.eu stating the name, affiliation and email address of the presenting author.

The abstract submission deadline is 20 January 2026 23:59 CET

All abstracts successfully submitted are peer-reviewed through a blind review process.

Originality of work, adequacy of data, and clarity of exposition are the determinants in the selection of abstracts. The final decision with respect to selection and programming of any abstract will be made by the GPS 2026 Abstract Scientific Committee.

Abstract notification will be sent via email to the designated presenting author by 13 February 2026.

  • Submission of an abstract grants GPS 2026 the right to publish the abstract on the conference website. All abstracts accepted for the GPS 2026 will be published in the digital abstract book unless withdrawn by the withdrawal deadline.
  • Abstracts may be revised online until the abstract submission deadline on 20 January 2026. Modifications will not be allowed after the submission deadline.

Abstracts must be withdrawn no later than 1 April 2026. To withdraw an abstract, the presenting author must inform the Conference Secretariat via email info@cap-partner.eu before the withdrawal deadline.

Abstract presenters are required to attend GPS 2026 in person to make their presentation. Expenses associated with an abstract presentation (e.g., travel, hotel, conference registration fees, etc.) are the sole responsibility of the presenting author. Presenters must register for the conference in the appropriate category (Industry, Delegates, Student) no later than 10 March 2026.

By submitting an abstract to the Global Podiatry Summit 2026, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Publication and Accessibility
Submitted abstracts will be compiled in an official Abstract Book, which will be published and made publicly available via the Conference website.
  2. Presentation Format

  3. Notification of Outcome
You will receive notification from the Conference Secretariat regarding whether your abstract has been:
    – Accepted for an oral presentation,
    – Accepted for a micro-presentation, or
    – Accepted for a pod talk
  1. Originality
By submitting, you confirm that your abstract represents original work and that you have the rights to submit it for review and publication.

Information

ISCU is a recently established member organization which aims to promote the use of high frequency and ultra-high frequency ultrasonography (HFUS and UHFUS) in dermatology.

The aim of ISCU is to develop a multidisciplinary international network to disseminate the knowledge on the ultrasonographic study of skin and subcutaneous tissue, to better understand the evolution of skin diseases from early to advanced stages, allowing early diagnoses and correct ultrasound-guided treatments. Bridging the gap between diagnosing and treatment to exploit the potential of implementing ultrasound techniques for skin.
